FAQs
What is the difference between corporate & commercial photography?
Corporate photography typically focuses on people—executive portraits, team headshots, office culture, and branded lifestyle imagery that supports a company’s identity. Commercial photography, on the other hand, includes a broader range of images used to promote or sell a product, service, or space. This could include architectural photography, product photography, and marketing visuals. I offer both, tailored to support your brand, marketing goals, and visual storytelling needs.
How far will you travel to shoot?
I’m happy to travel for the right project. Whether you need photography on-site at your business, a newly completed space, or a remote location, I’ll work with you to coordinate timing, logistics, and travel arrangements. My goal is to make the process easy and efficient—no matter where the shoot takes place. Flexibility is built into how I work, so you can focus on your project while I handle the details.
What is a tech scout? And what is a shot list?
A tech scout is a pre-shoot walkthrough of the space—either in person or virtually—where I assess lighting, staging, and any potential challenges ahead of the shoot. During the scout, I also take reference photos to explore composition and angles. I’ll share those with you afterward so we can discuss creative direction and plan the shoot collaboratively. A shot list is the result of that process: a focused outline of what we’ll capture, aligned with your marketing goals, publication needs, or portfolio requirements.
How will I get the photos?
All final images are delivered via Dropbox as 8-bit sRGB JPEGs—both full-resolution for print and low-resolution for web use. If you need specific formats, I’m happy to provide 16-bit TIFF files or CMYK versions for publications, large-format printing, or detailed retouching workflows. Every image set is optimized for professional use in architectural photography, branded content, and digital marketing.
What is “cost-sharing” with architectural photography ?
Cost-sharing allows multiple project partners—like an architect, builder, and interior designer—to share the cost of a single photo shoot. For each additional partner, a percentage is added to the total cost, but when divided among everyone, it’s a significant savings for each party. All partners receive access to the complete set of finished images, with usage rights tailored to their specific needs. It’s an efficient, budget-friendly way to ensure everyone walks away with professional marketing assets.
Do you work with an assistant or stylist?
For most shoots, I work solo and bring everything needed to keep the process efficient and low-impact. That said, I frequently collaborate with assistants, stylists, or staging professionals depending on the scope of the project. If your shoot requires more hands on deck—like moving furniture, managing talent, or styling props—we’ll plan for that during pre-production. My priority is always making sure we have the right team in place to get the best possible results.
